China launched the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013. China has carried out investment cooperation with countries along the routes in the past 9 years. Many engineering projects have been built under the background of Belt and Road, and it becomes an important platform for building a community with a shared future for mankind. Kaliwa Dam project in the Philippines is a key infrastructure project under the framework of cooperation of two countries between governments. It is also known as a project of "Big Build, Special Build Project" and "New Century Water Source Project".

The project is undertaken by China Energy Construction Guangxi Hydropower Engineering Bureau Co., LTD. The engineering equipment and aggregate production equipment used in the project are independently developed by China, among which the crushing equipment comes from SBM.

SBM's equipment has safely arrived at the production site, and is expected to fully meet the demand for high-quality aggregate for the Kaliwa Dam project once it is put into production. Meanwhile, our staff in the Philippine office will also work together with colleagues in the headquarters to do after-sale services for the project. SBM will continue to do practical work for more “Belt and Road" Projects with a professional and dedicated attitude.
